Snacks
Box and Life
While a Mother was preparing some snacks for the child, she instructed the child to
bring the snacks box, the child gave the closed box, she immediately asked her child “If you don’t open the box,
how can I fill the snacks?” The child opened the snack box and got it filled.
The child was dropped by her Mother in the school
and she left for her office and started preparing for the day. After some time
she went into the conference hall to conduct the monthly sales meeting and she
started her presentation, by the time she could complete the previous month
sales performance there was reasons for low sales coming out of the sales team
and by the time she started sharing the next month sales target there was
resistance from the team.
She stopped her presentation for a while and went to
the cafeteria and came back with a snack box and some snacks too. She asked one
of her team members to come to stage and she instructed him to fill the snacks
in the snack box and she said “ You are not supposed to open the snacks box,
but still you should fill the snacks in the snacks box”, her team member
thought for a while and said “it is not possible to fill the snacks, without
opening the snacks box”
She took the snacks in one hand and said “ These
snacks represents the knowledge and pointed towards the snack box and said this
box represents our mind” unless we open the mind we cannot get the knowledge
required to progress in our life”
For the past few minutes, this conference hall was
filled with reasons and resistance which has prevented us from filling our
minds with the knowledge required in correcting our approach and developing
ideas to approach our next month.
Remember these points in life
• There is no
point in having an empty snack box, without opening it
• There is no
point in having a stale snack and expecting to fill it up with new snacks
• There is no
point in having a full snack box and trying to fill it up with some more new
snacks
Let
us reflect before we give reasons; let us discuss before we resist
