Living- The Real Living
People
run from pillar to post,
People
run from pillar to post,
Thinking
the post is the destination—
But
it's just another hurdle they're hitting.
People
keep chasing their goals,
People
keep chasing their goals,
Thinking
a goal is an end,
But
it's just the beginning of new pain.
People
keep running a race,
People
keep running a race,
Thinking
they are going to win,
But
they're only leading a meaningless life.
People
keep buying and buying,
People
keep buying and buying,
Thinking
they're meeting their needs,
But
they're only draining their earnings.
People
keep beautifying,
People
keep beautifying,
Thinking
they will be attractive,
But
they're just painting over themselves.
People
keep dieting,
People
keep dieting,
Thinking
they are slimming down,
But
they are slowly starving.
People
keep planning retirement,
People
keep planning retirement,
Thinking
they're creating a safe future,
But
they are destroying their present.
People
keep comparing,
People
keep comparing,
Thinking
they are benchmarking,
But
they are erasing their uniqueness.
People
think they are living,
People
think they are living—
But
they're just burning themselves out,
And
calling it a standard of living.
True
living is not in
Running,
Chasing,
Spending,
Comparing,
Dieting,
Or
beautifying.
True
living is identifying your purpose,
Defining
your values,
And
igniting the passion
To
live a life that defines who you are—
Not
who you are to others.
