Granny Returns
From the writer of Granny’s message on Work from Home and Granny is back
The manager came on a video call and asked a young man “what happened to your connectivity?”
The young man replied “Sir, there was a broadband issue”
The Manager asked, “What happened to your Mobile? You could have connected through your mobile?”
The young man looked at his son who was using his Mobile & looked into the screen to answer the Manager, suddenly the granny appeared and said “Vanakkam Manager”
The manager said: Patti (Granny), are you same the person who advised other Managers about work from home?
Granny with a smile said “Yes, you are right”
Manager asked: “How many grandchildren do you have?”
Granny said: If anyone is facing issues at work from home, I am their granny and I will be there to answer your questions
The manager said: “I will not ask any such questions in the future; I am sorry granny”
Granny said: That is good, but still I want you to understand how to deal with your Subordinates
The Manager said: Yes, Granny, please tell me what I should do
Granny said “It is okay to lose the internet connectivity, but not the relationship with your team by asking questions which are uncomfortable to answer”
The young man’s son came closer to Granny to show something in the mobile, granny looked at the manager and said “now you can understand why he couldn’t use his mobile
The Manager said “I Can understand”
Granny said: Do not expect your employees to build their career at the cost of their children’s Future
The manager’s son came and said: Daddy there is no charge in the mobile and I will take it once it is fully charged and he went closer to the screen and said hi to a child who was standing next to the granny and asked “Are you attending online classes”? The child with a smile said" yes"
Granny said:
Remember, this is the time to understand each other and this understanding will change our life forever. During Challenging times park your designation and use your humanity during interaction

Being Jaby is being a fine human being.

Being Jaby is being a fine human being.   L&D Global Chennai Chapter was instrumental in bringing Jaby closer to my heart, our journey was not too long, but it was filled with fun, humour, joy and learning too. When Jaby was present, dullness was absent. He filled the hall with his sense of humour, and his thoughts were deep-rooted in bringing the best out of every human. Jaby was the most admired person in any forum; when Jaby picked the mic, the audience pulled themselves to the edge of the chair. Jaby was casual in his appearance, but he was a thorough professional everywhere. During COVID, if there was one person whom I counted on to help people, it was Jaby; his car was filled with masks, sanitizer and an oxygen concentrator. His social bent of mind made him a good Samaritan. Jaby was a curious child, whenever we both met, he was curious to improve his skills and knowledge, and his quest for development was limitless. Jaby and I collaborated in the year ...
