Your skilfulness speaks about your competency whereas your willingness speaks about your character. when you realise and accept you are not skilful people might come forward to help you whereas when your willingness is less people will step backwards to stay away from you.
Remember, being unskilful is not a grave mistake but unwillingness to progress without a reason is a grave mistake.
