The Nail-Nailed it
In a nail box, there was a set of nails that had been lying there for some time, along with a hammer that had also been unused. One day, the carpenter received an order for some furnishing work and packed his bag with the necessary tools, including nails and a hammer.
Upon arriving at the work site, the
carpenter began measuring and decided to take out a couple of nails from the
box. As two nails were removed, one of the nails still in the box said,
"Your journey towards pain begins." The removed nail responded,
"The real pain isn't just the discomfort we feel when being hammered; it's
remaining in the box, unused and unfulfilled, when we were made for a purpose.
It’s better to be hammered and find a place for ourselves to strengthen the
furniture than to sit and rust in the box."
This story offers an analogy for life:
some people, out of fear of pain, do not allow themselves to be used by those
who can help them realise their potential. Instead, they remain in their
comfort zones, unaware of their capabilities. It is better to endure painful
moments and evolve into a meaningful person than to avoid pain and stay
unremarkable.
