There is nothing rosy about a rosy picture.
If you only see the
roses and ignore the thorns, you are displaying ignorance. First, identify the
thorns, and then appreciate the roses. When I mention the roses and thorns, I'm
referring to the phrase "rosy picture." Many investment plans, products,
and services are marketed in a way that makes them appear very appealing—like
melting colourful ice cream, thick yoghurt, or a serene plot of greenery with
high returns on investment. When you see these on high-resolution screens and
listen to smooth voices through high-quality sound systems, everything seems
perfect.
However, before you
decide to make a purchase, it’s crucial to play the devil’s advocate regarding
your buying behaviour. This will help you distinguish between a genuine seller
and a greedy one. Remember, there is no point in regretting your decision after
you have lost your hard-earned money. It is better to recognise the thorns
first and determine whether it is worth venturing to pluck the roses, despite
the potential risks.
