The Price of Silence
“The world suffers a lot. Not because of the violence of bad people, but because of the silence of the good people.” – Napoleon Bonaparte
This quote is timeless. The world has been suffering from violence for centuries. The majority of people, though they know the truth, remain blind to it—not because they don’t care, but because they don’t want to suffer the consequences of fighting for it. This fear becomes an investment for the handful of people who are greedy: the hate mongers, the dividers of society, and other criminals.
The more silent we are, the more violence we will suffer. By the time we realize that our silence was not golden—that it was, in fact, an investment that allowed others to loot us—we will be left with nothing. We will have skin, but no flesh; a brain, but no mind; a heart, but no emotions; a body, but no strength. We will remain human in form, alive but leading a lifeless life.
