Who Decides What You Buy—and Who You Vote For?
Earlier,
we were told to be mindful of what we eat. Today, we must be doubly cautious
about what we see, hear, and read.
On one side, mainstream media is
often run by corporations with vested interests. On the other hand, so-called
social media influencers frequently push their own personal agendas. Let us
not forget: we are constantly being manipulated—in ways subtle and not so
subtle—to influence our buying decisions and even our voting choices. Often,
this happens to our own detriment.
The solution? Develop your
critical thinking.
Learn to question. Refuse to believe blindly. This one skill will not only save
your money and protect your health—it will ensure you remain rational, not
radical. It will help you weigh pros and cons, and make deliberate choices
instead of impulsive ones.
Before the so-called smartphone
makes us dumb, let us wake up to reality.
Question what you see. Question
what you hear. And most of all, question what you are told to believe.
