Death and Rebirth of a Sales man Part-1

Part-1-Low Acceptance Level

When we cross a retail outlet on busy road you can see a " Wanted sales man" board. When you cross a restaurant, you can see delivery boys waiting to pick the order. Today some section of youngsters is comfortable being a delivery boy rather than being a salesman.

Why is there a shift in these youngster's attitude? Let's understand this through various reasons

Death of sales man-Reason-1- Low acceptance level: When we enter a flat or an independent house, we would have seen a board, “salesmen not allowed inside" but there is place for food delivery boys or a product delivery boy.

Though sales being a challenging job and multi skill developing job, due to poor acceptance youngsters have slowly rejected it as a career.

Solution-1- Improving Acceptance Level

An education about importance of sales people should be initiated through many medias to change the perception about sales jobs. Housing association should be approached to allocate a day for sales presentation and upcoming flats should be requested to have a small area for sales people to meet their prospective customers.

As human beings we need to respect every human being irrespective of their jobs they do, selling is a job which improves social skills and communication skills.

While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
