Islands of Life
An Interaction about Wisdom

Islands of Life- Island -1- Mind

A young man was engaged in a conversation with an elderly person, during the conversation the young man asked "How can a person attain Wisdom?"

The elderly person said "there is no explicit process or an event that can help a person attain Wisdom, but by reflecting and realising on certain Experience in life we can attain Wisdom.

Remember, Neither Wisdom is confined to one area of life nor it is attained forever.

However, in order to understand how people, attain Wisdom, I will take you on a mental journey to various islands of life, where we can pick up certain pearls of wisdom.
Every endeavour in life is like a new departure, the first island from where we depart is place where we can either pick up the pearl called open mindedness or close mindedness.
You will be wondering why close mindedness is pearl!
Read it further to understand why I termed it as a pearl.
The journey of many endeavours starts from the mind, your mind can either be  open or closed, which determines your Biases towards events or people.
If you realized your open mindedness helped you to progress it is a pearl, if you realized your closed mindedness delayed your journey it's a pearl too.

When you reflect, realize and learn from either being open minded or closed minded, you have attained a wisdom on the power of mind.
The young man was engrossed in the discussion and asked "What is the next island in the journey?"
The elderly person smiled and said " Reflect on the first island, I will set the sail to next island"

The sail to second island starts, buckle your life jackets

The Modes of Persuasion The modes of persuasion, often referred to as ethical strategies or rhetorical appeals, are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker's appeal to the audience. They are: ethos, pathos, logos, and the less-used Kairos & telos The above model has been used by Advertisement agencies to grab the attention of the viewers and finally bring them to the purchase desk or use the cart in shopping sites. If we carefully examine the model, it has a sound application in running an effective training program too.
