Why
and How
There can be many reasons for giving
up, but there is only one reason you should not: when you embarked on your
quest to achieve something, you had a strong "why" motivating you.
However, when the "how" becomes unclear, your speed and interest in
continuing may diminish.
Take a break and grab a piece of paper.
List the benefits of finishing what you started; this exercise can give you a
new lease on life. With this renewed perspective, ask yourself "how"
questions to illuminate the path ahead. This will enable you to prepare and
push toward your destination.
Let the voice inside you remind you of
the benefits of each step you take. As you move forward, reflect on each
benefit you'll gain. When you look back, you'll see the milestones you've
crossed, and from that viewpoint, you'll be closer to the destination you
intend to achieve.
