Interest, Action, commitment, and Achievement
Many people express interest in various
activities, such as learning music or exploring artificial intelligence.
However, often those who are interested remain stagnant. Interest tends to be
more of a verbal desire, while those who take action demonstrate a genuine
commitment to pursue their passions. Simply having an interest does not
guarantee that we will achieve our desires; we need to set clear goals, take
action, stay committed, and remain consistent to realise our aspirations.
Here’s a process to turn your interest
into reality:
1. List one thing you are interested
in.
2. Write down the reasons behind this
interest.
3. Identify the benefits of pursuing
your interest.
4. Set a short-term SMART (Specific,
Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goal related to your interest.
5. Track your progress.
6. Once you achieve the goal, list your
next interest.
Remember, the gap between interest and
achievement is action. Once you take action, your interest transforms into a
commitment.
