Archery and Sales
Inspired by Director Rajamouli’s Speech
Some salespeople are
like arrows; they can be sharp enough to hit their mark, but their performance
largely depends on the archer—the sales manager. The salesperson will achieve
great results if the sales manager uses the right tools, checks their
effectiveness, fine-tunes their approach, and focuses on the right target.
Drawing a parallel to
archery, the bow represents the right sales tools, while tuning refers to
studying the market, creating daily sales plans, and defining the ideal
prospects. The sales manager must leverage their skills and knowledge to train
the salesperson effectively before sending them into the field.
Just as an arrow can
hit the bull's eye in the hands of a skilled archer, salespeople can achieve
their targets when guided by a competent sales manager.
