What is the use of an expensive watch?

A young man was trying to put on his expensive wristwatch, but the watch kept loosening every time he attempted to lock the strap. Frustrated, he removed the watch and started examining it closely. To his shock, the watch dial transformed into a face. The watch spoke to him, saying, "Look closely at the dial and listen to what I have to say."

Silent and intrigued, the man focused on the watch. It continued, "I have observed you many times. You can never keep up with time; you are always late and tend to make up excuses. It's understandable to be late occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances, but this shouldn't happen every time. When you keep people waiting, it reflects arrogance and shows a lack of respect for their time. Remember, when you make someone wait for ten minutes, you've wasted ten minutes of their life.

There's no point in owning an expensive designer watch if you don't value your time and the time of others. If you recognize your mistake, apologize to the person you keep waiting and start a conversation. If you can’t do that, I suggest you stop using me altogether. I’m a valuable brand and prefer to be worn by individuals who respect their own time and the time of others."

The young man hung his head in shame and approached the person he had kept waiting, saying, "I'm sorry."

An expensive watch reflects one's standard of living, while punctuality reflects the quality of one's life.

The Modes of Persuasion The modes of persuasion, often referred to as ethical strategies or rhetorical appeals, are devices in rhetoric that classify the speaker's appeal to the audience. They are: ethos, pathos, logos, and the less-used Kairos & telos The above model has been used by Advertisement agencies to grab the attention of the viewers and finally bring them to the purchase desk or use the cart in shopping sites. If we carefully examine the model, it has a sound application in running an effective training program too.
