Less than a minute Lesson-2768 Embrace the Miser

Less than a minute Lesson-2768 Embrace the Miser It is wise to embrace our inner miser during times of rising inflation, declining earnings, and a bleak economic outlook. The miser within us helps us save every penny we spend, and this frugality can serve as our bank, providing support and relief as we navigate uncertainty.   By being cautious with our finances, we can face the future with confidence and pride. The Last-Minute Syndrome

The Last-Minute Syndrome We often find ourselves or others procrastinating until the last minute, whether applying for a passport renewal, boarding a train, or filing tax returns. Sometimes, we even wait until our health issues become complicated. Have you ever wondered why we have this tendency to delay? The reasons can vary: some people thrive on the last-minute rush, others lack a sense of urgency, priorities may shift, or it could simply stem from laziness. Before attempting to change this behavior, it's crucial to understand its implications. For example, booking a ticket at the last minute can lead to a lack of available seats or higher prices. Rushing to file an online tax return or application can result in server crashes or delays, potentially leading to fines. Delaying medical check-ups can have serious consequences down the line. Unless we recognize the effects of our behavior, we won't be able to change it. Make a list of what you currently put off until the...

Less than a minute Lesson-2767 Working on your Potential

Less than a minute Lesson-2767 Working on your Potential Since you are focused on improving your potential, it’s crucial for you to assess it yourself rather than relying on others’ opinions. If someone underestimates your potential, it reflects their ignorance about you.   However, you should neither underestimate nor overestimate your potential, as this can harm your growth. Continuously evaluate yourself and strive for improvement—this is the key to unlocking your true potential. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD

I am a Pretty Woman

I am a Pretty Woman I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   Without any cosmetics to enhance my beauty.     I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   Without any expensive dresses to wear.     I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   Without any luxurious ornaments on me.     I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   Without any role models who walk the ramp.     I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   Without anything to beautify me.     I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   With a sense of pride and love within me.     I am a pretty woman,   Prettier than the woman in the mirror,   With a beautiful attitude.     I am a pretty woman,   Pretti...

Connectivity and Creativity

Connectivity and Creativity When we don't get a signal on our mobile phones, we often search for a better signal, rather than immediately blaming our devices. Similarly, when we run short of ideas in life, we should seek out sources of inspiration, such as different places or books, instead of undermining our creativity. Creativity can originate from within us, but external influences can also spark it. As we search for a better signal for connectivity, we should actively pursue things that inspire our minds and help generate new ideas. M.L. Narendra Kumar

Saying No

Saying No A straightforward "no" is better than apologising for saying "no." When you say "no," you are declining a request or task you are expected to take on. It's important to remember that your reasons for declining may be personal. If you apologise or plead while saying "no," it can make you appear guilty and lead to regret for your decision.   If the other person continues to insist, be firm in your stance; it's important not to entertain those who pressure you to do what they want. From the beginning, communicating a clear "no" sends the message that you don't work under pressure and operate on your own terms. M.L. Narendra Kumar

The Wise Little Dwarf in My Fingernail

The Wise Little Dwarf in My Fingernail One evening, as a young lady trimmed her nails, one clipping suddenly  sprang to life , bouncing off the table and transforming into a tiny dwarf! Stunned, she nearly dropped her nail clippers. The dwarf chuckled, dusting himself off.  "Relax, my dear! I’m no ghost—just here for a chat." Still wide-eyed, she hesitated.  "What… could we possibly talk about?" "Anything!"  said the dwarf, crossing his legs mid-air.  "Ask me anything at all." Curiosity overtook her fear.  "When I cut you off my fingers… does it hurt you?" The dwarf grinned.  "Pain is a matter of perspective. A gentle trim? I’ll fade away peacefully. But hack at me recklessly?"  He shuddered.  "Let’s just say neither of us enjoys that." "Good point,"  she admitted. Leaning in, she asked,  "Is there a lesson in all this?" "Ah!"  His eyes twinkled.  "Nails are tiny...

Who is a True Friend?

Who is a True Friend? He is your friend, a true friend   Who stands by you when you need them the most?     He is your friend, a true friend   Who is eager to see you succeed in whatever you do   He is your friend, a true friend   Who understands your needs?   Whether you express them or not.     He is your friend, a true friend   Who lends an ear   When you want to share your feelings.     He is your friend, a true friend   Who offers his shoulder   When you need to shed tears.     He is your friend, a true friend   Who doesn't wait for your call;   He will be the first to reach out.     He is your friend, a true friend   Who takes the liberty to correct you   So that no one finds fault with you.     He is your friend, a true friend   Who puts your friendship first   And his relatives next...

A Hospitality to Be Remembered and Shared

A Hospitality to Be Remembered and Shared I was boarding flight IX-1635 with Air India Express from Patna to Chennai when I experienced something worth sharing. As I entered the aircraft, I was greeted by the air hostess with a warm smile. While this is part of their standard operating procedures, there was something special about her gesture. She offered me a water bottle, mentioning it was very hot outside. I was taken aback for a moment and thanked her sincerely for her kindness. As I buckled my seatbelt, I reflected on how the airline industry has changed since privatisation, often leading to limited amenities like water. However, with Tata's touch, Air India Express stands out by making a difference. Passenger experiences with Air India Express can vary widely, ranging from mediocrity to misery and, in some cases, delight. I consider this small gesture of providing water to be a delightful experience. It reminded me that delivering more than what a customer expects is ...

Thoughts are seeds for life.

Thoughts are seeds for life. A young boy asked a monk, "People say our thoughts are like seeds that shape our lives. Is that true?" The monk replied, "Yes, it's true. The Wright Brothers sowed the idea of flight. Once they planted that seed, they worked tirelessly to develop a flying machine, despite failing many times. If you think about any invention or innovation, it always starts with a thought." The young boy nodded. "You're right. But when people talk about sowing positive thoughts, what do they mean?" The monk said, "Let's do an exercise. Before we begin, close your eyes and respond to my questions." The young boy nodded again. The monk started asking questions. "What is your opinion about happiness?" The young boy answered, "Fun and joy." The monk continued, "When do you think you will be happy?" The young boy replied, "When I get good marks, when I win a game, or when my pa...

Who is Richer than Rich?

Who is Richer than Rich? Some people are rich—very rich. They live in spacious bungalows but hesitate to invite others into their homes. Meanwhile, some are richer than the rich because they have hearts that welcome everyone, even if they live in a small house. Some people are rich—very rich. They drive the best cars in the world but find it challenging to walk just a few miles. They rely on pills every day. In contrast, others are richer than the rich because they have healthy bodies, walking those miles and enjoying their health every day. Some people are rich—very rich. Their investments continuously increase their wealth, but they spend sleepless nights worrying about whether their investments will be safe forever. On the other hand, some are richer than the rich; they enjoy peaceful sleep, knowing that their bank balance is sufficient for a restful night. Some people are rich—very rich. They own acres of land but don’t even know what grows there. Others are richer th...

Happy Nuts

Happy Nuts Two colleagues met in a cafeteria for a coffee break. One colleague, Ravi, said to Param, "Anytime I see you, you always look happy." Param asked, "What is your definition of happiness?" Ravi replied, "Being cheerful, lively, having a constant smile on my face, humming songs, and being energetic." Param asked if he saw all these qualities in him. Ravi nodded and said, "Yes." Param continued, "Those who live in the present always enjoy every moment of their lives. Once they accept that the present is the reality, they carry their cheerfulness, which is why people see us as happy." He explained, "Many people are lost in past events or worried about the future. With this mindset, they are constantly battling within themselves and, as a result, appear dull." Param added, "What has happened is in the past, and what might happen is uncertain. There’s no point in dwelling on either extreme. It’s better to be...
