Who is Richer than Rich?

Who is Richer than Rich?

Some people are rich—very rich. They live in spacious bungalows but hesitate to invite others into their homes. Meanwhile, some are richer than the rich because they have hearts that welcome everyone, even if they live in a small house.

Some people are rich—very rich. They drive the best cars in the world but find it challenging to walk just a few miles. They rely on pills every day. In contrast, others are richer than the rich because they have healthy bodies, walking those miles and enjoying their health every day.

Some people are rich—very rich. Their investments continuously increase their wealth, but they spend sleepless nights worrying about whether their investments will be safe forever. On the other hand, some are richer than the rich; they enjoy peaceful sleep, knowing that their bank balance is sufficient for a restful night.

Some people are rich—very rich. They own acres of land but don’t even know what grows there. Others are richer than the rich because they eat what they grow, cherishing their terrace gardens.

Some people are rich—very rich. They host parties on their luxury yachts, waking up with hangovers and having no idea what they drank or how much. In contrast, some are richer than the rich; they enjoy the blue waters of the sea with a can of beer, surrounded by loved ones.

Some people are rich—very rich. They fly high in their private jets, preoccupied with closing large land deals. Meanwhile, others are richer than the rich; they enjoy playing on the ground with their loved ones.

Focusing solely on becoming wealthy while neglecting the importance of character is to be impoverished in mind and heart. Neither wealth nor money can follow us in death; living peacefully is what allows for a peaceful departure.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
