Self-esteem and Self-Respect
If your hard work is
not recognised or is criticised, the chances of falling into a low self-esteem
trap are high. To avoid this, we should clearly define our values and purposes,
placing importance on our hard work rather than waiting for others' approval.
By doing so, we can enhance our self-respect, which has the power to prevent us
from experiencing low self-esteem. While self-esteem can vary, strong
self-respect contributes to healthier self-esteem.
Start by defining
your values and determining what you should and should not do. Decide how you
will respond to the external world. Once you have established this framework,
your journey toward your goals will be much more focused, and your direction
will be clearer.
Let your self-respect be the foundation that
elevates your self-esteem.
