Beyond the Barter: Finding the Essence Within
If Peace and Happiness were people, they would be
the most evolved souls on Earth. They are the only two beings who would never
barter their essence for anything else. Happiness doesn't window-shop for
gadgets to feel joyful, and Peace doesn't demand a quiet room to remain still.
They simply are.
When we stop treating these states as rewards for
our gains or compensation for our losses, they become an integral part of us.
The more we tether our joy to external desires, the more it slips through our
fingers. But the moment we detach our well-being from what we own or lose, we
stop searching the horizon and finally discover the quiet abundance already
living within us
