Be with HUMANS

Be with HUMANS In life, we should surround ourselves with the following types of people: H - Healers: those who use their words to uplift and heal us.  U - Understanding: individuals who listen and empathize with our feelings.  M - Motivators: people who inspire and uplift our spirits with optimism.  A - Accessible: friends who are there for us when we need support.  N - Nurturing: mentors who help us grow and develop.  S - Saviors: those who protect us during times of crisis. To lead a fulfilling life, we need to be healed, understood, and motivated. We should have access to people who can support us during tough times, be nurtured by the right mentors, and feel safe from crises and problems. M.L. Narendra Kumar

Be a Lover of Love

Be a Lover of Love Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of hate.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of revenge.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of war.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of addiction.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of money.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of sex.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of religion.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of caste.    Be a lover of love,  Not a lover of race.    Be a lover of love,  A lover of humanity.    Be a lover of love.  Let life be filled with love.  Love forever.    Love is the only beautiful word.  That should guide our way of life.  Let love dwell in our minds and hearts.  May we be remembered for our love.  M.L. Narendra Kumar

Nature is a musical world that will be musical forever.

Nature is a musical world that will be musical forever. The bamboo is an instrument in itself,  Producing wind.  When transformed into a flute,  It can either wake us up  With the sunrise  Or lull us to sleep with its soothing tunes.    The rubbing of two tall trees  Creates a percussion sound,  Encouraging us to shake our legs.  It has a rhythm all its own.    The voices of the workers  Can be captivating,  Turning into a song in their own right.    The movement of a wave  It can feel like C minor or C major,  Touching our very nerves.    Music is everywhere.  It doesn't require a keyboard to compose  Or a computer to store.    It simply needs ears to listen.  And a heart to experience.  Enjoying nature is akin to enjoying music. Healing through Harmony

Healing through Harmony Music has no language because it is a language unto itself. Celebrating World Music Day means celebrating humanity. A lullaby in any language is soothing to the ears of an infant, who has yet to understand what language is. The heartbeat is a rhythm common to all. For some, it beats fast; for others, it beats at a normal pace. But the heartbeat connects us all. Laughter is a form of music that conveys happiness, requiring no words to decode. Crying expresses deep emotions and needs compassion to console, rather than just words. Holding hands and looking into each other’s eyes creates a symphony without instruments. It doesn’t matter who we are. There is music in the wind, in the ocean, in flowing water, in burning fire, and in the very space around us. Music is everywhere. Let’s prioritise peace as our central focus, so we do not hear the sounds of bullets, missiles, bombs, drones, jets, or the cries of humans for their lives. Let us heal...

Less than a minute Lesson-2797 Being Helpful

Less than a minute Lesson-2797  Being Helpful Being helpful to others while neglecting your own needs is futile; similarly, focusing solely on your usefulness without considering others is also unproductive.   Life is about finding a balance between being helpful to yourself and others. Align your actions to benefit both yourself and those around you. This approach fosters a sense of personal accomplishment and satisfaction in helping others. M.L. There is a Price

There is a Price Inspired by Stoicism  There is a price, a price  Don't be surprised;  We need to pay in our lives.    There is a price, a price  Don't be surprised;  We need to pay in our lives.    The price of progress is pain,  Pain worth enduring  For the progress in the rest of our lives.    The price of wisdom is experience,  An experience worth living  For the wisdom that stays with us forever.    The price of strength is struggle,  A struggle worth facing  For the strength that will empower us.    The price of success is failure,  A failure worth accepting  For the success that will define who we are.    Greatness comes with a price,  And that need not be justified,  For the glory that greatness will bring.    There is a price, a price;  I hope you are not surprised...

Less than a minute Lesson-2796 Mending Self is Developing Self

Less than a minute Lesson-2796 Mending Self is Developing Self A fisherman who mends his net regularly is more likely to catch more fish; similarly, the person who mends himself is more likely to attract more people to his network.  It is better to mend ourselves rather than try to mend others. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD

Less than a minute Lesson-2795 Preparation and Results

Less than a minute Lesson-2795 Preparation and Results A good fisherman is not only judged by the number of fish he catches in the deep sea but also by how well he maintains his net while on shore.  It's not only the results that matter; it’s also about how well we prepare for those results. Kindness

Kindness Sometimes, kind people are taken for granted, and their kindness can be misused for selfish motives. However, those who understand the truth remain kind. They choose not to be unkind to others because they know that changing their good nature would conflict with their conscience, which would be far more distressing than being taken for granted. Kindness is not a sign of weakness; it is a demonstration of the courage and confidence a person has in himself. M.L. Narendra Kumar

Less than a minute Lesson-2794 Clear Mirror and Clear Mind

Less than a minute Lesson-2794 Clear Mirror and Clear Mind A clear mirror reflects our actual image, and a clear mind allows us to understand our true nature and accept feedback from others. Before trying to improve your external appearance, take the time to clean your mirror; similarly, clear your mind to enhance your internal qualities. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD

Go with the flow

Go with the flow As humans, we often resort to cursing when things become complicated or challenging. For example, we might curse the rain when it comes unexpectedly, or complain about a hot day when the heat becomes unbearable. Whether we are drenched from rain or sweating in the heat, we add to our irritation regarding situations that are beyond our control. However, there are better ways to handle these extreme circumstances. Having an umbrella or raincoat handy can help us cope with the rain, and drinking water regularly keeps us hydrated. Those who choose to curse will be soaked in irritation and worries, while those who stay prepared will simply go with the flow. M.L.Narendra Kumar

Understanding Real Weaknesses and Strengths

Understanding Real Weaknesses and Strengths Recognising and harnessing one’s strengths is essential for personal growth; failing to do so can be seen as a significant weakness. True strength, on the other hand, comes from the courage to admit one’s weaknesses. This means being open to seeking guidance from others, whether it’s through mentorship, collaboration, or constructive feedback. Additionally, it requires a strong sense of self-determination, the inner drive to confront and address those weaknesses head-on. By actively engaging with both our strengths and weaknesses, we pave the way for continuous improvement and deeper connections with those around us. Pause for a while and reflect on how much of your strengths have been underutilized or unutilized, and also reflect upon the adverse impact it had on you and will have on you in the future. Jingoism Vs Patriotism

Jingoism Vs Patriotism If nations boast about their GDP and defense strength without focusing on the happiness and health of their citizens, as well as ensuring a decent per capita income, they are not citizen-centric. Instead, they are catering to a few elites and trying to assert their supremacy over weaker nations while engaging in arms transactions. If citizens take pride in such GDP figures and defense capabilities, they may be ignorant of the actual situation or misled by leaders who keep them blind, convincing them that jingoism is equivalent to patriotism. If we fail to understand the difference, we risk remaining unaware of our subjugation, living as slaves without recognising our condition. A true patriot will critically evaluate what is presented to them and remain unbiased, questioning the status quo and seeking the truth. In contrast, others will celebrate their slavery as being patriotic and brand the dissents as anti-national. M.L.Narendra Kumar   ...

Why Do People Fear Receiving Feedback and How to Overcome It?

Why Do People Fear Receiving Feedback and How to Overcome It? The mind craves appreciation, praise, and rewards; anything that soothes the heart is what we are prepared to hear. However, when we receive negative feedback, we tend to dwell on it, and our worries increase significantly. To avoid such feelings, we often shy away from feedback, particularly from critics, and avoid soliciting input that highlights our mistakes. Upon closer observation, this behaviour reveals a tendency to prioritise our emotions over rational thinking. Here are some questions to ponder: ·       Will we always be right? ·       Do we always do our best? ·       Is the other person wrong in their observations about us? ·       Is there room for improvement? ·       Do we have a choice in how we take the feedback personally? ·       Can we d...

Anticipating Failure is a Part of the Plan

Anticipating Failure is a Part of the Plan During a brainstorming session, a group was tasked with planning a cultural event for an organization. The first team received a detailed outline of the tasks required, covering the pre-event, event, and post-event phases. Once briefed, this team was sent to a separate room to develop their plan. The second team was also informed about the pre-event, event, and post-event phases. Still, their focus was on identifying potential delays, failures, crises, and challenges they might face in successfully organizing the event. One team member expressed concern about thinking negatively, to which the facilitator replied, "It's practical to consider these issues so we can prevent failure." After both discussions, the teams were invited to present their findings. The first team presented a comprehensive plan that detailed what, where, why, when, who, how, and how much for each phase of the event. In contrast, the second team focu...

Less than a minute Lesson-2793 Silence

Less than a minute Lesson-2793 Silence        Sometimes, what words cannot do, silence can achieve. On certain occasions, silence is both a healer and a powerful communicator. Learning the art of remaining silent is also learning the art of managing stress. M.L. Narendra Kumar Director Instivate Learning Solutions PVT LTD

Life and Gardening

Life and Gardening Investing in beautiful plants, flowers, and garden equipment alone does not make a great garden. For a garden to remain attractive, it requires a skilled gardener who not only knows how to nurture the plants but can also identify and remove weeds before they grow out of control. Similarly, having good qualifications, the latest gadgets, or a successful job does not guarantee success in life. We must continuously nurture our growth, upgrade our skills, and eliminate negativity to achieve our desires. Gardening can be considered an art; plants require a delicate and artistic touch. It is also a science that involves understanding the nature of both plants and weeds. Gardening is a profession that adheres to a set of principles and guidelines. Likewise, life is an art that should be shaped at every stage. It is a science in understanding the psychology of the mind, and life should be approached with professionalism and ethical considerations, ensuring that suc...

The Power of 1%

The Power of 1% I came across a note about how Toyota continually improves itself. The concept of "1% improvement" at Toyota isn't just a formal slogan; it reflects their core principle of Kaizen. This philosophy emphasizes continuous, incremental improvements in all aspects of their operations. Deeply ingrained in the Toyota Production System (TPS), it drives employees at all levels to constantly seek ways to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency. While this idea originates from a production environment, it can also serve as a universal principle for individuals, companies, and nations alike. A 1% improvement might seem small, but it's relative. For example, a 1% increase on an investment of INR 10 is just 0.1, but on a company making INR 100 crores, it translates to one crore—a significant amount that can be invested in banks, bonds, or used for research and development. Consider an individual who walks 10000 steps a day and increases their daily ...

Less than a minute Lesson-2792 Re-Launch

Less than a minute Lesson-2792 Re-Launch If one rocket fails during a launch, the rocket launch centre will not be shut down. The team will return to the boardroom to conduct a root-cause analysis to ensure the next launch is successful. Similarly, when you face failure, it doesn't mean you are a failure. Instead, take the time to reflect and analyse your experience, just as a launch centre does, and prepare for your next opportunity. M.L. Grit

Grit I recently listened to a speech about how some businesses are built and the hardships they face along the way. One significant insight I gained from these stories is that it's not just strategies or creativity that make a difference: it's the founders' grit. Although it's a simple four-letter word, grit is a powerful quality that differentiates successful people from those who are not. Whether it's a student who passes an entrance exam, an athlete who fails but bounces back, or an entrepreneur who endures rejections and failures, these individuals all share one common trait: grit. Now, let’s reflect on the projects we’ve discontinued—the treadmill that now serves as a clothes rack, the jogging shoes that spend more time in pubs than on jogging tracks, and the healthy food options that are closer to their expiration dates than to being consumed. All these items are neglected due to a lack of grit. Think about something you started but discontinued. Consi...
