Difference Between Belief and Knowing
Some specific
individuals blindly believe what is told or shown to them, often falling prey
to poorly conceived ideologies propagated by those with hidden agendas. These
believers demonstrate a level of mental blindness in their approach. In
contrast, those who seek to know are critical thinkers; they ask questions,
consider various perspectives, and are not easily swayed by what they see or
hear. As a result, they are less likely to become victims of manipulation
designed to gain their support. People who try to understand the truth are
rarely vulnerable and tend not to fall for misguided ideologies presented to
them.
Given that the world
is full of information, we must use our ability to know rather than believe
what is presented. If the public becomes a group of blind followers, they risk their
own well-being and the health of the nation they inhabit. Knowing is a
right, while believing is a choice.
