Healing through Harmony
Music has no language
because it is a language unto itself. Celebrating World Music Day means
celebrating humanity.
A lullaby in any
language is soothing to the ears of an infant, who has yet to understand what
language is.
The heartbeat is a
rhythm common to all. For some, it beats fast; for others, it beats at a normal
pace. But the heartbeat connects us all.
Laughter is a form of
music that conveys happiness, requiring no words to decode.
Crying expresses deep
emotions and needs compassion to console, rather than just words.
Holding hands and
looking into each other’s eyes creates a symphony without instruments. It
doesn’t matter who we are.
There is music in the
wind, in the ocean, in flowing water, in burning fire, and in the very space
around us.
Music is everywhere.
Let’s prioritise peace as our central focus, so we do not hear the sounds of
bullets, missiles, bombs, drones, jets, or the cries of humans for their lives.
Let us heal this
world with music. May harmony prevails, and peace be our everlasting goal.
