Restless World

Restless World

A restless world

With power-mongering Politicians

and profit-oriented Capitalists

Where peace cries in solace

A restless world

Where fear and unhappiness

Haunts the homes

A restless world

Where hate and wars

It is a daily affair

A restless world

Where some media houses

Have become the Messiah of

The ruling government

A restless world

Where arms and ammunition

Have become the pride of the Nation's

A restless world

Where killing the children

It is a strategic battle

A restless world

Laying off people

is a sign of achievement and profitability

A restless world

Where Debts are mounting

Larger than the mountains but considered an art of building the Nation

A restless world

Where hate and conflicts

It has become a way of living

The peace can only be restored.

When we don't take sides with the politicians

and believe the news anchors who are better actors than the actors on the large screen

Our rest is in our hands.

When we don't take sides

Or else we will never rest in peace.

Every death in the war zone is a sign of revenge, and the restlessness will continue till we bury the planet Earth.

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
