Answering Self
Sometimes people
misinterpret your self-respect as ego. You know what you expect from others and
prioritize your self-esteem. If someone perceives you as egoistic, it's best to
ignore their judgment and keep moving forward. You may wonder what’s wrong with
explaining your perspective. However, once you start explaining, the other
person might think you are defending your ego rather than standing up for your
self-esteem.
We should regularly
ask ourselves whether we are projecting ego or self-esteem. If your inner voice
tells you you’re being egoistic, reflect on why that might happen. On the other
hand, if your inner voice confirms that you're maintaining your self-respect, go
ahead and keep moving.
It’s essential to
learn to answer the questions within us and continue questioning ourselves when
faced with challenges.
