Admiration, Liking and Respect
We have a choice
between being admired, liked, and respected. People admire us for our looks,
skills, and knowledge. They like us when we are kind and considerate towards
them. However, respect is earned through our character and selflessness.
Admiration can fade
as our looks change, skills become outdated, and knowledge is surpassed.
Dislike can arise when we disagree with others. In contrast, respect endures as
long as our character remains intact.
It's essential to
have a few elegant pieces in our wardrobe, continually update our skills and
knowledge, and develop a tactful approach to handling differences with others.
Ultimately, our character should always be guided by our values, ensuring that
we remain admired, liked, and respected.
