Energy Givers and Energy Takers
The world would come
to a standstill without energy, which is generated for numerous purposes and
sourced from various sources. Energy can be both green and polluting, but the
global focus is shifting towards green energy, with billions of dollars being
invested in this area. However, the concept of energy is not limited to power,
transportation, and production. We must also consider the energy linked to
human development, as we require energy to fuel both our bodies and minds.
To understand the
importance of energy, we can categorise it into two types: energy givers and
energy takers.
Energy Givers: These are components that keep us
healthy and mentally fit. Examples of energy givers include nature, sunlight,
water, air, wholesome food, rest, courage, positivity, gratitude, movement,
sleep, and learning. These elements contribute positively to our physical and
mental well-being.
Energy Takers: In contrast, energy takers are factors
that can harm our physical and mental health. Examples include dwelling on the
past, poor sleep, overworking, excessive screen time, resentment, negativity,
fear, stress, and junk food.
If we fail to
increase the components that serve as energy givers while reducing those that
function as energy takers, we will continue to feel drained and lead lives
filled with tension and stress.
To improve our
well-being, we should identify which energy givers we can incorporate into our
lives and which energy takers we need to eliminate.
