Best or Right
Inspired by Jack Ma's quote- Try to find the right
people, not the best people."
Sometimes, people get
swayed by the term "best." They often seek out the best products,
people, and options in various areas. However, the word "best" has
its standards; what is considered the best for one person may not be the best
for another. While there is nothing wrong with seeking the best, there is
something even more relevant: finding what is right.
Before looking for
the best product, focus on finding the right product that suits your needs.
Instead of searching for the best person, seek out the right person who can
meet your expectations. For example, imagine you purchase a product that is
highly rated as the best on the market, but it fails to satisfy your utility
needs. Does that make sense? Similarly, consider hiring the best candidates
from top colleges; if they don't fulfil your requirements, does their
"best" status hold any value?
When you choose what
is right for you and that product meets your needs, it becomes the best choice
in your eyes. Likewise, when you hire the right candidate who can effectively
perform the tasks you need, that person becomes the best candidate for you.
