Peace should be a priority.
Changing history and
glorifying unsung heroes should not come at the cost of instilling hatred in
the minds of young people or using that hate against others. When a nation
engages in rewriting history, it must remember that the present will eventually
become the past, and in the future, it too will be viewed as history.
There is no value in
spreading hate in the name of history. If history only emphasises war,
invasion, and dominance, it will sow the seeds of revenge, creating a
continuous cycle of conflict.
In a world where new
technologies emerge every day, we should focus on educating students to foster
their interests and prepare them for the future. There is no point in rewriting
history to satisfy a group with a hidden agenda that aims to plant the seeds of
hate and create animosity towards others.
Education should aim
to develop children who embrace love, kindness, and brotherhood, appreciate
diversity, and learn to forgive. It should not be used to cultivate religious
extremists.
A nation is more
important than any single religion. Mankind can exist without religion, but not
without a peaceful country. Let us prioritise peace and keep the rest in the
background.
