Difference between a Follower and a Leader
In a mid-sized organization, whenever an employee is
promoted to a Team Leader position, the promoted Leaders gets an opportunity to
have a coffee meeting with the CEO.
After the CEO gave his inputs about Leadership qualities required in their organisation, one of the newly appointed Leader asked what is the difference between being a Follower and a Leader. The below is the difference that was given by the CEO
After sharing the above difference, the CEO said
“As a
subordinate, when you commit a mistake it impacts you, but as a Leader when you
commit a mistake it impacts you as well as others. Hence forth live with an
Attitude of developing others and that is the Attitude that will develop you.
