Owning a cow and buying the Milk
A middle-aged man was living in the suburbs to avoid
the noisy city life. He constructed an independent house with open area for
farming too. Once the middle-aged man was seen shopping for some milk in the nearby
shop, his neighbour asked him "When you have a cow in your house, why are
buying the milk from the shop?"
The middle-aged man replied "The person who
takes care of the farm is gone to his hometown and all my farm activities have
come to a standstill"
The neighbour said "it is nice to have a farm,
but difficult to manage it without proper manpower"
The middle-aged man agreed and they both started
walking back to their respective homes.
Let us relate this incident with our
life
Sometimes we have the needed resources with us, but
we search for opportunities outside, it is like having the cow and buying the
milk outside.
We aspire to lead a different life, but we fail to
learn the new skills for adapting to the new life, it is like depending on the caretaker
for taking care of the farm.
Let
us upgrade our skills to utilise the strengths within
M.L.
