Leadership Lessons from Conducting Online Meetings-Part-1

Pre-meeting Qualities

In today’s challenging situation, home have become offices and work from home is slowly turning to be a new normal. In the recent past, I have been conducting and attending training programs through online. Here are some of the Leadership Qualities that I observed while being a part of these online meetings.

Explorers: I have come across people who were exploring various online meeting sites that will suit our requirements. True Leaders are explorers by Virtue, they explore new technologies, Markets etc. to ensure they stay ahead.

Evaluators: There some members, who evaluate what was explored and compare one site with the other and submit a comparative analysis, which will help the companies to decide which sites are safe for conducting  online meetings/ sessions. True Leaders invest time in evaluating and enable the management with data required in taking a right decision

Educators: There are some people, who takes over the from evaluators and start learning how to use the site and become familiar with the features and start educating the members well in advance before the meeting starts. True Leaders first experience the situation, understand how to handle it better and educates the followers on how to work in the similar situations.

Reflect upon the recent online meetings that you attended and identify who played what roles in implementing an effective online meeting solution.

A True Leader Explores, Evaluates & Educates
