Working under a good Leader is like having a Safe and a Pleasant journey. The journey can be short or long, but the safety is the foremost concern followed by smooth take-off and landing. Let us understand how a Leader can apply the principles of flight journey in leading the team in the right direction and help them reach the new heights.                                 

 

Take-Off: The Initial comfort starts from a smooth take off, when a Leader takes over a Team or new member joins a team, it is the Leader who should  provide them the comfort by understanding their expectations, stating the vision and laying the  guidelines for working with each other. This kind of initiatives will reduce the perceptual gap and help the Leader to  have a committed team


 

On Board Services: In a flight it is the air-hostess, who takes care of these service. In the workplace, the Leaders should introduce their team members to the departments  who will play a vital role in serving their subordinates needs ranging from Handling their Facilities, Safety, Security etc, to ensure their subordinates reaches the right person in time for any of their administrative needs



Act of Balancing
: In a flight it is the wings that helps in balancing, similarly in the workplace the Leader should balance their subordinates intellectual and emotional needs, such an act will help the employee stay engaged and enjoy a smooth journey within the organisation
