The
Power of Homework
When we think about the word Homework, some of us
would go back to our school days, for some it was a burden, for some it was an
opportunity to prove one's sincerity and for some it was a quick copying
exercise in the classroom. Homework would have helped us to invest our time
wisely & to understand the subjects thoroughly.
Whenever we come across a good film, performance, or
a presentation in the corporate world, we attribute the success to the homework
done by the performers
Homework is not about subjects; it is a quality that
needs to be nurtured amongst the children to face the challenging days ahead.
Instead of projecting the short-term gains of doing
a homework, project the long-term benefits of doing a homework.
Champions are made in the practice grounds &
performers are shaped in the rehearsal sessions, the more we stress the value
of homework, the less we need to worry about results.
The value of homework needs to learnt from people
from different walk of life, invite a Soldier to talk about the homework they
do before facing their enemies, invite a Surgeon who can talk about the
homework they do before they take the surgical equipment’s in the hand and many
more.
The proud moment of holding the award is the tip of
the iceberg, but what lies beneath is a Homework.
It is not only the ideas that attracts the funds for
start-ups, but also the homework that helps the youngsters to win the mind and
the heart of the investor.
Sometimes it is easy to win the championship once,
but to retain it requires a lot of homework to be done.
