Nature- A Multidisciplinary University

A young lady was plucking a flower from a plant, the lady asked the flower "don't you feel hurt, when we use and throw you?" The flower replied " I am not the right person to answer your question, you need to speak to the plant"

The lady looked at the plant and repeated the question, the plant replied:

·         If I am hurt, no flowers will grow out of me

·         By nature, I am a giver and a forgiver

·         The plant next to me is not a competitor, but still I do the best I can

The lady with a smile touched the plant and said thank you for educating me.

Are there life lessons from this plant?

Yes, it has three lessons:

Lesson No-1 : People might hurt you with their words, but the choice to be hurt or not lies within, do remember you don't produce desired results when you are hurt. Every day is a new day and keep working like the plant

Lesson No-2:  A taker might forget the giver, but as a giver never forget to forgive those takers who had forgotten you, an unconditional giver is a rare diamond and aspire to be that, when a plant in the backyard lives by the principle of giving, why not we?

Lesson No-3: When you are passionate inside, you do not require a competitor outside, plant passion and not hate

Nature is a multidisciplinary University where there are many courses to learn

Listen, Understand and Respond

Listen, Understand and Respond Most of the time, people listen to respond rather than to understand. By the time the other person finishes speaking, the listener is often already formulating a response. Let’s explore what happens in such situations. While listening, we may be trying to engage our logical brain to recall our memories and creativity for a response, or we may be accessing our emotional brain to defend ourselves against what is being said. For example, if one person talks about ways another could improve, the listener might offer excuses such as a lack of time, resources, or support. Alternatively, they may bring up personal emotions, like health or family issues. These reactions often occur while the other person is still speaking, leading to a decreased understanding and an increased eagerness to defend one’s position. During this type of conversation, the listener may appear restless, exhibiting a lack of eye contact or head nodding. In such interactions, th...
